The Art
Mary Ann Conley works exclusively with Prismacolor pencils and uses a highly burnished technique. Her drawings are realistic renderings of simple subject matter, often found in or near her home.

The Prints
Quiet Glimpse prints are all fine art giclée reproductions of original drawings. They are published by Koslow Fine Arts in Herndon, Virginia, using an Epson Stylus Pro 9600 inkjet printer, using Epson Ultrachrome Inks, and Colorbyte’s software RIP. The Ultrachrome pigmented archival inks have been estimated in independent testing by the Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute to last over eighty years without fading on fine art papers. The paper used is Arches Infinity, smooth finish, which is mould-made, acid- and lignin-free, 100% cotton with a coating designed specifically for fine art giclée prints. This paper offers exceptional image permanence and is museum quality, which means that images created on Arches Infinity will last for generations. Arches Infinity is currently undergoing independent testing for image permanence by Wilhelm Imaging Research. Once results are finalized, they will be published by Arches and by the Wilhelm Institute.

The Giclée Process
The word giclée comes from the French verb to spray. In the printing industry, the word giclée is used to describe a digital fine art print-making process done by a special large-format, ultra-high resolution 7-color ink jet printer. Giclées have the highest resolution available today—as high as 2,880 dots per inch. The microscopic ink droplets vary in size (approximately the size of a red blood cell) and density. Displaying a full-color spectrum, giclée prints capture every nuance of an original and have gained wide acceptance from artists and galleries throughout the world.

About the Mats
Quiet Glimpse giclée prints are matted with Bainbridge Artcare Archival Matboard. Artcare museum-quality mats are not only acid- and lignin-free, fade resistant, and buffered to maintain alkaline pH, but they neutralize acid by-products, protect against damaging pollutants, and slow art and paper degradation. Artcare mats feature a solid white archival core and colors that stay true for the life of your art.
